For a number of years, the Scouts of Troop 12, Placer County, have worked closely with the Loomis Lions Club
in the annual presentation of the Club's two community crab feeds. Their tasks are to set up tables and chairs, lay down
the linens, plates, cups and silverware, and make the kitchen ready for the cooking that follows. Then, when the dinner
guests have left the Loomis Veterans Memorial Hall, the Scouts and their adult leaders return and work into the
evening hours removing the tables and chairs, washing the pots and pans, and sweeping and mopping the hall's expansive
wood floor.

As in all of the past years, the Loomis Lions Club has rewarded the Scouts with a small stipend for their labors on
the club's behalf. This year, the Scouts performed such a remarkable job in getting the hall ready and doing so with only a
minimum of supervision and direction that the Lions members decided to host the Scouts and their leaders and
families to an 'Eat-all-you-want' pizza party. The occasion took place on Tuesday evening, 26 February at the Club's
meeting place on Horseshoe Bar Road in Loomis. The pictures below depict the celebration between the Lions Club
members and the Boy Scouts of Troop 12.
The Loomis Lions Club was chartered in 1953 and has been serving the Loomis Basin community for more than 50 years.
The Club continues to support Troop 12 in all of its endeavors.
